Welcome to CFC Alpha Online!

What is Alpha?

Alpha provides a space for people to come and explore questions around faith, life and meaning.

The course is designed specifically for those who are exploring the Christian faith – from the sceptic to the person who is unsure of what their faith means to their life today. We’ll be meeting together for a series of sessions designed to make space for informal conversation about faith, the person of Jesus and what it all means. It’s an open environment where it’s easy for absolutely anyone to ask any questions.

Ultimately, we want this to be a time where you can be yourself and enjoy time spent together looking at important topics in these challenging times.

Alpha will take place across 11 weeks (every Thursday evening), beginning on 15th April - 24th June 8pm-9:30pm. You are very welcome to come along to the first session and see what you think.

How does Alpha Online work?

We will be hosting this course online and will use the Zoom app to host sessions. Don’t worry if you’re not a tech wiz, or have never used Zoom before, we’ll send you all the info you need to get connected if you decide to be part of the course.

What will a session look like?

We will meet online at 8pm, one of our team will welcome everyone and introduce the topic for the night. We’ll then watch a video, made by the Alpha team, which will last between 20-30 minutes, you can find a trailer for the videos below:

Meet the Team

There will be a team from CFC (Christian Fellowship Church), Central Church, Belfast and Star of the Sea Church, Portstewart hosting this course. Each week you will be welcomed by one of our coordinators, Catherine or John, and the rest of the team will be hosting the group discussions.

Who are we?

CFC or Christian Fellowship Church is a non-denominational church based in Northern Ireland, we currently have six sites in East Belfast, South Belfast, Inner East Belfast, Holywood, Antrim and our Sign Language Community.

Central Church is a plant from Carnmoney Church into the city centre, gathering at May Street Presbyterian. We are passionate about helping people find and follow Jesus and believe that Alpha is an amazing tool which helps people explore christianity in a non-judgemental environment.

Star of the Sea is a vibrant Catholic Church in Portstewart.
